On 22 October, Scatec and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development announced a renewable-energy investment platform for Egypt, with the EBRD committing up to $221 million, including approximately $170 million in equity and the remainder in project-level guarantees. The platform is intended to accelerate projects including Obelisk, Shadwan, Dandara and Energy Valley.
Environmental and energy businesses can explore opportunities in emissions monitoring and sustainability analytics. HPC can support environmental data processing and project-performance modelling; the $221 million is platform financing, not a single environmental-services contract.
